We would not be surprised if you are feeling a little bit déjà vu seeing the Odyssey Neo G9’s name. This is because Samsung has used the name before in 2021 although that particular model is slightly smaller at 49-inch.
Given its native resolution of 7,680 x 2,160 and 32:9 aspect ratio, the 2023 Odyssey Neo G9 57 is essentially two 32-inch UHD monitors combined into a single 57-inch curved display with 1000R screen curvature. In fact, you can set the monitor’s Picture-in-Picture feature to display two inputs from two sources simultaneously.
Speaking about input ports, this monitor comes with one DisplayPort 2.1 and three HDMI 2.1 ports alongside a USB 3.0 hub with two USB-A ports. While it might not have a built-in speaker, the Odyssey Neo G9 57 still has a headphone jack.
Being a certified VESA DisplayHDR 1000 monitor, it can deliver a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. In addition to that, this Quantum Mini-LED display also adheres to the HDR10+ Gaming standard and features 2,392 local dimming zones.
The Odyssey Neo G9 57 also has a grey-to-grey (GTG) response time of 1ms and is capable of delivering a variable refresh rate (VRR) of up to 240Hz. However, your graphics must be able to support DisplayPort 2.1 or HDMI2.1 to take advantage of these features.
