CelcomDigi has announced its Jom 5G Bersama campaign and one notable new product is their new Xpax Prepaid Unlimited 40 which comes with “unlimited” internet and voice calls. Unlike its previous unlimited prepaid offering, the new RM40 plan comes with more high-speed data and you can also “speed up” with their 5G Booster.

For RM40/month, the new Unlimited Internet prepaid plan comes with “unlimited” 5G/4G data that has a speed cap of 3Mbps. However, you do get 10GB of high-speed data and the option to get an extra 5GB more if you sign up for the plan in-store. This gives you a total of 15GB of high-speed data per month during the campaign period with auto-renewal enabled. On top of that, the plan comes with 3GB of hotspot data as well as unlimited calls to all networks. At the moment, new sign-ups can get free RM5 Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit while stocks last.

Similar to the previous “unlimited” offering, the Xpax prepaid plan comes with 60GB of Fair Usage Policy (FUP) each month. Once you’ve exceeded your FUP limit, your speed will be reduced to 512kbps until the next cycle. You can learn more about the Xpax Unlimited Prepaid plan on Celcom’s product page.

Take note that the 5G Booster is currently offered for free until 31st May 2023. After that users may need to pay extra in order to enjoy faster speeds on Digital Nasional Berhad’s 5G network.

Following the government’s recent change in the national 5G direction from a Single Wholesale Network to a Dual Network model, CelcomDigi has terminated its share subscription agreement with DNB. However, it assures that CelcomDigi customers can still continue to enjoy 5G services as the 5G access agreement with DNB is still intact.
