Shortly after introducing the Samsung Galaxy A04s, Samsung Malaysia has just announced the Galaxy A04. Without the extra “s” behind the model name, the Galaxy A04 is a much cheaper device and it still offers a high-resolution 50MP main camera.
Samsung Galaxy A04 Malaysia Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A04 comes in two RAM and storage configurations and here’s the official pricing in Malaysia:
- Samsung Galaxy A04 3GB RAM + 32GB storage – RM479
- Samsung Galaxy A04 4GB RAM + 64GB storage – RM559
The device is available for purchase on the official Samsung online store as well as Lazada and Shopee. It comes in three colours – Black, Copper, and Green. As a reference, the Galaxy A04s with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is officially priced at RM699 in Malaysia.
Samsung Galaxy A04 Malaysia Specs
The Samsung Galaxy A04 comes with a 6.5″ HD+ LCD display which is similar to the Galaxy A04s but it lacks the 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the A04 runs on a MediaTek P35 processor that’s mated with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage. The device still offers microSD expandable storage of up to 1TB.
For taking pictures, the A04 only gets a dual-camera instead of a triple-camera setup. The main shooter is a 50MP f/1.8 camera that’s accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the tiny notch at the top of the display houses a 5MP selfie shooter.
In terms of connectivity, this is a 4G phone and it supports 802.11ac WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. Like most budget smartphones, it only has a single speaker and still retains a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Galaxy A04 gets a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W adaptive fast charging via USB-C.
