It is the end of the year and the holidays are just around the corner. Digital telco Yoodo is getting into the spirit of giving as it rolls out a series of giveaways to coincide with the festive season.
Throughout December, Yoodo will be running two giveaway campaigns that reward its users as well as all the hardworking frontliners out there.
Chow Tuck Mun, head of Yoodo had this to say:
2020 has been a rough year for many of us, but here at Yoodo we want to wrap it up with a bang and boxes full of presents for our users. This Season of Giving we want to spread cheer and show gratitude – for our frontliners and our loyal users.
To spread some holiday cheer Yoodo has kicked off its Ho! Ho! Holiday Giveaway campaign that will reward lucky users a chance to win attractive prizes that include smartphones, accessories, Boost credit and more. The campaign period is set to take place through the month of December.
So, how does the giveaway work? It is all quite simple as the user just needs to perform a specific transaction that is tied to a prize. For example, if you have set your eyes on the Apple iPhone 12 Pro, you will need to spend RM80 and above in a single transaction to be in the running to win.
But if you want to try your luck at winning a pair of Apple AirPods Pro wireless earbuds, Yoodo only requires you to subscribe to any of its Unlimited plan.
Want to know more about what other prizes there are? Here’s a full list on the prizes Yoodo is giving away and how you can stand a chance to win them.
According to the company, once participating users have performed the specified transaction, they will be put into a pool and Yoodo’s system will randomly select the winners of each category.
The list of winners will be posted on Yoodo’s website within 30 days after the campaign ends with each winner notified via email and be requested to provide their delivery details.
However, you cannot win multiple prizes as each customer is only eligible to win only one prize throughout the campaign.
Rewarding our frontliners
Besides rewarding their customers, Yoodo is also looking to give back to all Malaysian frontline workers for their tireless efforts in combating the COVID-19 pandemic via its Rewarding Everyday Heroes initiative.
Throughout the month of December, Yoodo will be rewarding the first 500 qualified frontliners with RM30 in Boost credit that can be used to pay for their Yoodo plan.
Through the campaign, Yoodo hopes to keep frontliners connected with their loved ones- especially those who may still be performing their duties away from home for extended periods of time.
Yoodo’s website lists the following workers are as eligible for the initiative:
- Medical professionals
- E-hailing drivers
- Food delivery riders
- Malaysian Armed Forces
- Royal Malaysia Police
- Immigration Department
- Fire and Rescue Department
- Malaysian Civil Defence Force
- Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency
- People’s Volunteer Corps
Frontliners who are interested in claiming the RM30 Boost credit will need to order a Yoodo SIM via the web or app. They will then need to activate their new Yoodo line and fill up an online form.
Their eligibility will be verified based on their letter of employment, e-hailing PSV licence, screenshots of rider app or any other relevant supporting documents. Following that, they will be rewarded with the Boost credit after the campaign ends.
It is worth mentioning that the offer is open only to frontliners who do not have a Yoodo line prior to the campaign.
Chow shared that Yoodo is grateful for the tireless efforts of all frontliners including all medical professionals, police personnel and food delivery riders, who bravely face the risk of the virus to protect everyone else. “The Rewarding Everyday Heroes initiative is our small way of giving back to them for all they have done right from the onset of the pandemic,” he said.
