The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series will be unveiled in less than 48 hours but the leaks just keep on coming. This time, a product video from AT&T has leaked and it confirms pretty much we know so far about the new Samsung flagship with an S Pen. The video was shared by serial leakster @evleaks through his Patreon account.
There will be two models, the Galaxy Note 20 and the Note 20 Ultra. In the US, both are powered by a Snapdragon 865+ processor and have 5G support. Like its previous flagships, Samsung is expected to offer its Exynos 990 variant for the Malaysian market.
The standard Note 20 comes with a flat 6.7″ Super AMOLED+ display which is expected to feature a Full HD+ resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the Ultra gets a larger 6.9″ Dynamic AMOLED dual-curved display that pushes a smoother 120Hz refresh rate.
The S Pen will be upgraded with new features and a more responsive writing experience. As revealed by Roland Quandt earlier, the new S Pen has a latency of 9ms. According to the video, you can convert your notes easily into a Microsoft Word and PowerPoint document.
Similar to the Galaxy S20, you can shoot 8K videos which enables you to grab high-resolution stills from your footage. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will feature a high resolution 108MP main camera while the Note 20 gets a 64MP shooter (which is likely to be used for telephoto).
As speculated previously, the Note 20 Ultra can push up to 50x Space Zoom while the standard model settles for a lower 30x. The Ultra will be the first Note series device to feature a periscope telephoto camera which is similar to the S20 Ultra.
In terms of battery, the Note 20 will come with a 4,300mAh unit while the Ultra gets a 4,500mAh capacity. It is odd that Samsung is fitting a smaller battery than the current S20 Ultra which has a 5,000mAh cell. Looking at the current Galaxy Note 20 pricing, expect the top-of-the-line Note 20 device to cost more than its predecessor. It is likely that Samsung could be bundling its Galaxy Buds Live TWS with ANC for free during the pre-order period.
To watch the launch, the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will be streamed live through Samsung’s website at 10pm Malaysian time on 5th August. Since Malaysia is a key market, expect Samsung to reveal local pre-order details shortly after the global event.
