Samsung confirms Galaxy Note 20, Fold 2, Buds Live, Watch 3 and Tab S7 are launching on 5 Aug

With just slightly more than a week away to the second Galaxy Unpacked of the year, Samsung has dropped its first official trailer for its big event. Apart from the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, the Korean smartphone maker is also introducing 4 new devices which also include a foldable phone and a new tablet.

Towards the end of the video, you can see a tablet, a TWS headphones, a smartwatch, a folio-style foldable device and a smartphone with an S Pen. Based on the leaks we’ve seen in the past couple of weeks, these devices would be the Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy Note 20.

The video also reveals that the Unpacked Event will provide an exclusive access to “untold stories” from developers, designers, innovators from Samsung Digital City, the headquarters of Samsung at South Korea. This is also Samsung’s first full blown virtual launch event due to the ongoing pandemic.

For the Galaxy Note 20, Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy Note 20 and the larger Note 20 Ultra. This time, the standard Note 20 will feature a flat screen which is the first since the Galaxy Note 5. Meanwhile, the new Galaxy Tab S7 is expected to be introduced in two sizes which would compete directly with Apple’s iPad Pro series.

In terms of wearables, there’s the Galaxy Watch 3 that features a rotating bezel and an all new Galaxy Buds Live wireless earbuds that finally offer active noise cancellation. Samsung is also introducing its second generation Galaxy Fold that’s expected to be called the Galaxy Z Fold 2. In case you missed it, Samsung had also unveiled its 5G variant of the Galaxy Z Flip which runs on a Snapdragon 865+ processor.

The Galaxy Unpacked 2020 is taking place at 10pm Malaysian time on 5th August 2020. We expect Samsung Malaysia to reveal pre-order details for the Note 20 series shortly after the global event.
