Oppo Malaysia’s current top-of-the-line Reno 10X Zoom smartphone is getting a price cut and it’s now going for less than RM3,000. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor and it has a periscope telephoto camera that’s capable of doing 10X zoom in lossless quality.
The Oppo Reno 10X Zoom with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage is now officially priced at RM2,999 (previously RM3,399). If you’re looking for a more affordable alternative, the standard Reno with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at RM1,699 (previously RM1,999). As a comparison, the latest Oppo Reno 2 with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage is still going for RM2,299.
Oppo Reno 10X Zoom
The Oppo Reno 10X Zoom comes with a 6.6″ Full HD+ AMOLED display that has no punch-holes or notches. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor and a “shark-fin” shaped 16MP pop-up selfie camera module.
The rear of the device comes with a triple-camera setup which consists of a 48MP f/1.7 main camera, a 13MP f/3.0 telephoto camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. If you push the zoom capability to the max, it can do 60X digital zoom. Powering the device is a 4,065mAh battery and it supports VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 charging via USB-C.
Meanwhile, the standard Reno is a premium mid-range device. It has a slightly smaller 6.4″ Full HD+ AMOLED display and it runs on a Snapdragon 710 processor. The rear gets a dual-camera setup with a 48MP main and a 5MP depth sensor. Like the 10X edition, it also comes with a 16MP pop-up selfie shooter.
Powering the Oppo Reno is a 3,765mAh battery and it also supports VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 charging via USB-C. This device also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is not offered on the more expensive Reno 10X edition.
