Looking for an alternative to Google Maps? Nokia Labs has been taking a step further by introducing Nokia Maps for Mobile Web. Previously Nokia’s own mapping software is limited to Nokia devices but it is now available on most smart phone browsers as it is based on HTML 5. According to the about menu, Nokia Maps support iOS 4.3+, Android 2.2, Android 2.3 and BlackBerry 6.0+.
With a good internet connection, it runs as good as a dedicated map app. You can do pretty much what Google Maps has to offer like satellite/map view, get routes and it even shows places of interest around you.
