According to OnePlus, the Android 9 Pie roll out is done in stages and you’ll be notified when it’s ready to update. You can check for the update manually by going to Settings > System Update. Since this is a major jump in terms of Android version, the initial battery life after upgrading might be shorter than usual but OnePlus assures that it will get better after some time.
Another thing to note is that the brightness levels might be different as there’s a new algorithm for brightness that’s optimised for darker environments. For the time being, you might need to adjust the brightness manually in various lighting situations and the device will learn your preference over time.
If you have any additional issues with your OnePlus 5 and 5T after the upgrade, you can drop your feedback here.
