Tencent Gaming is organising the country’s first ever PUBG Mobile tournament offering up a RM60,000 prize pool. The tournament will begin with state qualifiers in Johor, Sabah, Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur from 22 December 2018 to 12 January 2019.

The best four teams from each qualifying round (a total of 16 teams) will then duke it out in the grand finals on 26 January in Kuala Lumpur.

Jointly sponsored by Vivo and Yoodo, the two brands will offer up prizes in addition to the pool. Vivo will be providing 16 units of the Vivo V11i smartphone while Yoodo will supply a whole year’s worth of mobile connectivity for each of the devices.

This competition is part of an effort to create a competitive community through PUBG Mobile by Tencent Games. We hope this act will get nationwide support, so that new talents in esports will grow in numbers.

Oliver Ye, Tencent Game’s SEA Director

The PUBG Malaysia National Championship (PMNC) 2018 will have a total of four state qualifiers: Johor, Sabah, Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur. The top 4 teams from each qualifier will then face-off in the Grand Finals in Kuala Lumpur on 26 January 2019. Johor Qualifier: 22 December 2018, Aeon Tebrau City, Johor

Sabah Qualifier: 25 December 2018, Kompleks Karamunsing, Sabah

Sarawak Qualifier: 06 January 2019, Emart Batu Kawa, Sarawak

Kuala Lumpur Qualifier: 12 January 2019, Sunway Velocity Level 3, Kuala Lumpur

Grand Finals: 26 January 2019, Vanity Atrium, Sunway Velocity, Kuala Lumpur (16 Teams)

FYI, according to the rules, devices in which competitors use to compete with will be provided by the organisers but they also recommend players to bring their own devices as back up just in case any issues occur.

The best PUBG Mobile team in Malaysia will be taking home RM20,000 from the total prize pool. The team in second place will get RM15,000 while third place get RM5,000.

If you think you got what it takes, you can register to take part in the tournament at: pubgmobile.com/MY/PMNC. Click here for the full set of rules. Good luck!
