Apple has officially announced the updated base variant for the MacBook Pro 14, now powered by the new M6 processor. The refresh focuses heavily on on-device machine learning capabilities and graphical throughput, while retaining the familiar 14-inch form factor, Liquid Retina XDR screen, and industry-leading battery efficiency.
Here’s how much the MacBook Pro 14 with M6 processor costs in Malaysia:
Customers can also expand internal storage up to 4TB. Optional add-ons include a 96W USB-C power adapter for an extra RM80 and a nano-texture display finish for RM675. If you decide to max out every option—equipping the machine with 32GB of memory, a 4TB SSD, the nano-texture glass, and the 96W brick—the total comes to RM17,604.
For extra peace of mind against accidental damage, AppleCare+ coverage is available for RM1,449. Pre-orders for the MacBook Pro 14 M6 in Malaysia kick off on 29 October, ahead of general retail availability starting Friday, 6 November 2026.
At the core of the upgrade is the new 2nm M6 chip, packing more muscle than before with a 12-core CPU and a 12-core GPU. The silicon also incorporates a Dual 16-core Neural Engine, alongside an increased memory bandwidth of 170GB/s on the 24GB and 32GB configurations.
With the new architecture, the refreshed MacBook Pro 14 delivers up to 30% faster graphics rendering and 25% faster AI workload execution compared to its M5 predecessor. Wireless connectivity receives an upgrade as well, adding native support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.
The rest of the chassis remains largely identical to last year’s M5 iteration. Retaining the same 1.55kg weight and 1.55cm thickness, the 2026 model sports a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness.
For video calls and media production, the laptop continues to feature a 12MP Center Stage camera with Desk View, a studio-grade three-microphone array, and a six-speaker sound system with Spatial Audio support. The physical I/O selection is unchanged, offering three Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, an HDMI port, an SDXC card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and MagSafe 3 charging.
Endurance is once again backed by a 72.4Wh battery rated for up to 24 hours of usage. Fast charging remains supported, allowing the laptop to charge from zero to 50% in 30 minutes when paired with a 96W USB-C adapter or higher.
