Ever thought of how your life is one big musical and how every action has a soundtrack to it?
Thanks to Meta’s Muse, you can put a soundtrack, a podcast or an audiobook to any circumstances that you want.
According to Spotify, this is possible because the platform is available across more than 2,000 devices, from cars, TVs, and speakers to ChatGPT, Claude, and more.
Agentic AI, But For Music
In case you didn’t know, Muse is Meta’s new personal agent. By enabling Muse on Spotify, you can play music on Spotify, save songs to your Library, build playlists, help you find a book or podcast, and more by simply talking to it. For example, you can ask Muse to spin up a driving playlist inspired by your destination.
Moreover, you can have your Muse queue and play audio on Spotify. Want to pick back up on the podcast you started this morning? Ask Muse. Want to hear your Dinner Jams playlist on your kitchen speaker? Muse will take care of it while you get started with dinner prep.
Music, When You Need It
Besides that, you can schedule your preferred song or audio to play at the exact moment needed. For example, you can queue your favourite song to listen to once you head out on a 7 AM drive to work or play chill Lo-Fi music at 2 PM when you need to focus on work.
How does it compare with Spotify’s AI and Spotify with ChatGPT?
It might get a bit confusing, but there’s a difference between Meta’s Muse, Spotify’s AI and Spotify with ChatGPT. Spotify’s own AI is mainly focused on helping you discover and choose music based on your listening habits.
Meanwhile, Spotify with ChatGPT lets you have a more natural conversation with AI to find songs, create playlists and refine recommendations based on what you want.
On the other hand, Meta’s Muse is more agentic, meaning it can go beyond recommending content and potentially take actions for you, such as creating playlists, playing music, saving songs and scheduling playback.
