If you’re heading to Ipoh, there are now even more DC fast charging options along Jalan Kuala Kangsar.
Gentari has just turned on its latest EV charging location at BYD Ipoh (Goh Brothers) along Jalan Kuala Kangsar which offers up to 240kW of DC fast charging.
This is the second BYD dealership location in Ipoh with a DC fast charger, besides the outlet at Jalan Niaga Simee which has a Gentari 120kW DC Charger.
For this location, Gentari has deployed two standalone DC Chargers with one capable of pushing 180kW, while the other unit pushes a higher 240kW.
Take note that the 180kW unit on the left only has one nozzle operational, while the 240kW unit on the right has two CCS2 nozzles. So in total, there are only 3 bays for DC fast charging.
These chargers are priced at RM1.60 per kWh and you can activate them via Gentari Go, JomCharge and ChargEV.
Besides this location, Gentari also has another high-powered DC charger location nearby. Further down on the opposite side of the road, there are two 180kW DC chargers with 2x CCS2 nozzles at Mini Tian Siang. These chargers are priced at RM1.70 per kWh.
Alternatively, there’s also a ChargEV 60kW Charger at BMW Tian Siang Premium Auto, ChargEV 60kW DC Charger at Lexus Ipoh, Charge+ 120kW DC Charger at Proton DK Motor 4S and JomCharge 60kW DC Charger at Smart Ipoh.
With the latest deployment, there are now 15x DC Charge Points along this 700m stretch of Jalan Kuala Kangsar.
