Porsche has recently updated the price of its EV lineup in Malaysia, and the changes are rather significant. In general, you are looking at an average price hike of 34% across the Porsche Taycan and Porsche Macan Electric family, although the pricing of the Porsche Cayenne Electric is still unknown, as the electric SUV has yet to be launched in Malaysia.

2027 Porsche Taycan Malaysia Pricing

Here’s how the starting pricing of the Porsche Taycan for MY2027 looks as of 2 July 2026:

  • Porsche Taycan: RM775,000 (previously RM575,000)
  • Porsche Taycan 4S: RM890,000 (RM675,000)
  • Porsche Taycan GTS: RM999,000 (RM775,000)
  • Porsche Taycan Turbo: RM1,220,000 (RM905,000)
  • Porsche Taycan Turbo S: RM1,470,000 (RM1,060,000)
  • Porsche Taycan Turbo GT: RM1,550,000 (RM1,160,000)
  • Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package: RM1,550,000 (RM1,160,000)
  • Porsche Taycan 4 Cross Turismo: RM845,000 (RM625,000)

As for the Porsche Macan Electric, here’s how much it costs to get the German marque’s electric SUV in your hands as of 2 July 2026:

  • Porsche Macan Electric: RM575,000 (previously RM430,000)
  • Porsche Macan 4 Electric: RM595,000 (RM445,000)
  • Porsche Macan 4S Electric: RM700,000 (RM525,000)
  • Porsche Macan GTS: RM775,000
  • Porsche Macan Turbo Electric: RM845,000 (RM635,000)

What’s with the price hike by Porsche?

The official reason behind the price hike is unclear, as Porsche’s custodian in Malaysia, Sime Darby Auto Performance, didn’t make any clarification regarding it. The most plausible explanation at the moment is that the conclusion of the EV tax holiday that happened on 1 January 2026 might have finally caught up with Porsche EVs.

Without the tax holiday, Porsche EVs are subject to the full import duty rate of 30%. This is because they are imported from Germany, which didn’t receive a preferential import duty rate for CBU EVs as per certain countries like China.

While there is also MITI’s new policy for fully-imported CBU EVs, we don’t think that is the reason behind the price hike. After all, the declared cost, insurance, and freight (CIF) value of Porsche fully-electric models is definitely higher than RM200,000 while their power outputs are also way higher than MITI’s minimum requirement of 180kW (241hp).
