If you’re heading to Sungai Petani with an EV, there’s now a new DC fast charger in town. TNB Electron has just turned on its latest location at TNB Sungai Petani.

Similar to its recent deployments, the location has a total capacity of 240kW and they offer complimentary charging on the first day of opening.

For this new location at TNB Sungai Petani, they have deployed a TELD DC Charging solution with a total of 3 bays. As shown here, the three EV charging bays are covered.

Take note that this location is only open to the public from 7:00am to 10:00pm only.

The DC chargers are priced at RM1.50 per kWh and you can activate it without using any app.

Just tap your credit and debit card at the JuiceUP contactless card terminal. A pre-authorisation amount will be required to start charging. If you need a receipt, just scan the QR code at the card terminal after charging has started.

Despite having a total capacity of 240kW, take note that the cables are rated at 250A. This means 400V EVs can get up to a maximum of 100kW, while 800V EVs can get up to 200kW.

According to TNB Electron, users can get free charging during the operational testing period on Thursday, 14th May 2026 from 7:00am to 10:00pm.
