Gentari and MBPP have deployed another new street-level EV charger in George Town, Penang. The latest location is along Jalan Gottlieb, in front of Tropics Eight Suites.

As part of the opening, Gentari is also offering a promotional discount for two weeks.

For this location at Tropics Eight Suites, Gentari has installed a DC charger with two CCS2 nozzles that can deliver up to 54kW.

The charger is priced at RM1.60 per kWh and you can save more if you have an active Gentari Go subscription plan.

Similar to other Gentari EV charging locations, Gentari is imposing idle fees of 40 sen per minute to mitigating charger hogging. The idle fee is imposed 15 minutes after charging has stopped.

As always, do move your EV once you’re done charging so that others can charge. Remember, if you’re not charging, you’re hogging.

From now until 21st April 2026, Gentari Go is offering 15% off for EV charging at this new location. To enjoy the discount, add the promo code GO15GOTTLIEB before activating the charger.
