TNB Electron has deployed a highly-anticipated EV charger up north in the state of Perlis which is set to go live tomorrow (17th March 2026).

The new location is the second EV charging station in the entire state of Perlis and has a total capacity of 240kW.

Prior to this, ChargEV’s 60kW DC Charger at Starbucks Kangar Jaya is the sole public EV charger in the state which was deployed in December 2023.

Like most of its new deployments, TNB Electron has deployed a 240kW DC Charger with a total of 4 CCS2 nozzles at Wisma TNB Kangar. This makes it the largest and fastest DC Charger in Perlis.

These chargers are priced at RM1.50 per kWh and there’s no app required. Just tap your credit or debit card at the contactless JuiceUP card terminal to activate the charger.

Take note that each nozzle is rated for 250A. This means 400V EVs can get up to 100kW while 800V EVs can get up to 200kW.

As part of its opening promo, EV drivers can enjoy free charging at the new location on 17th March 2026 from 12:00am to 11:59pm.

Stay tuned as TNB Electron will reveal details of its upcoming Sama Sama Raya promo for the upcoming Raya holiday season.
