Shortly after the Chinese New Year holidays, Gentari and MBPP (Penang Island City Council) continue with their deployment of new street-level EV chargers on the island.
This includes a new DC Charger at Jalan Sg Dua and two extra DC chargers along Jalan Perak.
In total, there are now 7 Gentari x MBPP EV charging locations which offer a total of 22x DC charge points.
The first new location is in front of Happy Mart along Jalan Sg Dua, where Gentari x MBPP have deployed a 50kW DC Charger with two CCS2 nozzles.
Similar to other Gentari x MBPP locations, the charger is priced at RM1.60 per kWh.
For the next location, Gentari x MBPP have deployed two 50kW DC Chargers in front of Clinic V-Care along Jalan Perak.
This location offers a total of four CCS2 nozzles and they are also priced at RM1.60 per kWh.
As usual, if you’re done charging, do remove your vehicle so that others can charge. Remember, if you’re not charging, you’re hogging.
As part of its introductory offer, Gentari is offering 15% off for the two new EV charging locations from now until 11th March 2026.
