Taiping has gotten a new high-powered DC charger with the latest deployment by TNB Electron.
The Charge Point Operator (CPO) has just turned on a 240kW DC Charger at a TNB location and it is currently the fastest EV charger in the town.
As usual, TNB Electron is offering complimentary charging during its testing period where the public can charge up their EVs for free.
TNB Electron has deployed a TELD DC Charging solution at Wisma TNB Taiping. It has a total of four satellite terminals with CCS2 nozzles that can deliver up to 240kW.
Similar to other TNB Electron DC Chargers, it is priced at RM1.50 per kWh. You can activate and pay for EV charging by tapping your credit and debit card at the JuiceUP contactless card terminal. A pre-authorisation amount will be required to charge and the unused amount will be refunded.
If you’re around Taiping, you can enjoy free charging at the location during the testing period starting today, 18th December 2025 at 12:00pm until 20th December 2025 at 11:59am.
