Honor has announced that its next-generation flagship smartphone, the Honor Magic 8 Pro, will be coming to Malaysia soon, although no specific launch date has been finalised just yet.

Also, based on Honor’s track record, it’s also likely that the company will only introduce the Pro variant locally, leaving out the standard “vanilla” Magic 8 model.

Honor Magic 8 Pro quick specs

The Honor Magic 8 Pro first made its debut in China in October 2025. It features upgrades in departments such as durability, performance, battery, and charging. Let’s quickly go through them.

It might not look too different from its predecessor, but the Honor Magic 8 Pro is now rated at up to IP69K, making it more dust- and water-resistant. It also comes with a new AI button on the right side of the phone that, by default, launches Honor’s YOYO AI assistant. But worry not as the button is customisable.

Under the hood, the Honor Magic 8 Pro also receives a notable upgrade, featuring Qualcomm’s latest flagship mobile chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. You also get a larger silicon carbon battery at up to 7,200mAh. Charging is rated at up to 120W via USB-C and 80W via wireless charging.

Beyond that, you still get a 6.71″ 120Hz LTPO OLED display that pushes out a resolution of 2808×1256 pixels, and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Imaging-wise, the Magic 8 Pro inherits the camera setup from its predecessor, featuring a 50MP f/1.6 main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 200MP f/2.6 telephoto sensor that can do 3.7x optical zoom. Handling selfies is a 50MP front camera with a 3D depth camera for face unlock placed right beside it.

You can check out Honor Malaysia’s website to find out more and register your interest for the Magic 8 Pro.
