After launching its mid-range Nothing Phone (3a) and the flagship Nothing Phone (3), the UK-based smartphone brand is set to launch its new budget smartphone that’s called the Phone (3a) Lite.

Being a Nothing-branded smartphone, you can expect a similar “semi-transparent” design with quirky elements with rear illumination. However, the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite seems to be taking a more simplified approach.

Ahead of the launch, Nothing has dropped a quick teaser with a close up shot of the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite in white. From the teaser picture, it has the usual “transparent” finishing with visible screws and contrasting design textures.

Being a more budget phone, it looks like Nothing is doing away with the usual Glyph light interface. Instead, the device gets a simpler white LED light which blinks if there’s notification. You can see it in action in a short video clip below.

The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite is set to be revealed this Wednesday, 29th October at 13:00 GMT (9pm Malaysian time). We reckon that pre-orders could start shortly after the unveiling and it should be priced well below RM1,500.

The device was recently spotted on Geekbench with the model number A001T. From the looks of it, it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

At the moment, the cheapest “Nothing” smartphone is the CMF Phone 2 Pro powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro. The sole 8GB RAM + 256GB RAM variant was launched for RM1,199 but you can now get it for as low as RM999.
