Can the Smart #3 Brabus make EVs fun on the road? We took it up Genting Highlands to find out

When it comes to performance EVs, the usual highlight is blistering 0 to 100 km/h times. But beyond straight-line speed, can they actually deliver driving enjoyment? That’s the question Amin set out to answer with the Smart #3 Brabus, taking it up to the roads of Genting Highlands.

Packing dual motors, 422hp (315kW) and 543Nm of torque, the Brabus is the most powerful smart model yet. But does all that power translate into joy through the corners, or is it just another EV that shines only in drag races?

This comes after Amin’s earlier test of the Tesla Model 3 Performance at Sepang, where it proved rapid but not quite the ideal track car. Now the focus shifts to the road: if EVs aren’t great on track, can they still be fun where it matters most?
