GXBank has expanded its reach into the automotive market by offering car insurance renewal services. The new offering is made possible through a collaboration with Zurich Malaysia, which has previously partnered with the digital bank for its Cyber Fraud Protect plan.
Focuses on speed and convenience
At the moment, GXBank’s car insurance renewal service is currently only available to select customers. The website has pointed out that the service is “rolling out in batches” as well, and you can only see the Car Insurance option in the Discover section of the GXBank app once it is made available for your account.
That being said, the website has already provided substantial information regarding the service’s mechanism. For one, it claimed that customers can renew their car insurance in just three taps.
The renewal process starts with acquiring the insurance quote for the customer, which the bank claims can be completed in under 1 minute. Customers can then customise their package by choosing the optional benefits such as special perils, windscreen protection, personal accident, and many more.
In addition to that, customers can also include road tax renewal when they renew their car insurance through GXBank.
GXBank also offers add-on package for EVs
Interestingly enough, there is also the EV Package listed in the add-on list. According to GXBank’s support site, this add-on focuses on accidents and equipment failures that are related to EV charging.
This includes reimbursement for repairs or replacements of damaged wall chargers in customers’ homes. The package also covers EV charging cables that have been damaged from vehicle accidents.
The EV add-on also covers repair costs for EVs that were damaged from the usage of an EV charger. Not to forget, it also includes a provision for injuries sustained from using an EV charger.
Perks for early birds
Even though the car insurance renewal service is being rolled out in phases, GXBank is already offering some perks to early customers.
Under the launch promo, which will last until the end of this month, you can get up to RM30 cashback alongside an RM38 discount for Unlimited Roadside Assistance and Towing add-in. However, all these perks are limited to the first 1,000 customers.
