Oppo Reno 14 5G & Reno 14 Pro 5G Malaysia: Specs and features

Let’s start with the design of the Oppo Reno 14 series. These phones essentially look like facelifted versions of the Reno 13, which made their launch in Malaysia at the start of 2025.

Featuring a glass sandwich design, wrapped with an “aerospace-grade” aluminium frame, the Reno 14 series features a patterned glass back which Oppo calls the “Iridescent mermaid Design”. These devices are also rated at up to IP69 for dust and water resistance.

Display-wise, the Oppo Reno 14 5G sports a 6.59″ AMOLED display that pushes out a resolution of 2760×1256, and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits at High Brightness Mode. The Reno 14 Pro 5G, on the other hand, sports a larger 6.83″ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2800×1272. Both displays are equipped with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits under High Brightness Mode.

Powering the Oppo Reno 14 5G is MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 chipset, while its Pro sibling gets the chipset-maker’s latest Dimensity 8450 SoC. Both phones can be had with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Now, let’s talk about the upgrades most of you are looking to learn more about, their cameras. The regular non-Pro Reno 14 5G gets a tri-camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, an OIS-equipped 50MP f/2.8 telephoto shooter that’s capable of 3.5x optical zoom, as well as an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle shooter.

As for the Reno 14 Pro 5G, you get a full 50MP setup, which is a notable upgrade over the Reno 13 Pro’s setup. This includes a 50MP f/1.8 OIS-equipped main shooter, an OIS-equipped 50MP f/2.8 periscope telephoto shooter with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide. Both the Reno 14 5G as well as the Pro model also come with a 50MP f/2.0 shooter and can record videos at up to 4K resolution at 60fps.

Photos taken with the Oppo Reno 14 Pro 5G

Aside from the hardware enhancements, Oppo has also equipped the Reno 14 series, including the more budget-friendly Reno 14 F 5G, with some new AI-powered photography features. This includes AI Flash Photography, AI Flash Livephoto, and AI Editor 2.0. By opting for the Reno 14 5G and Reno 14 Pro 5G, you also get the AI-Enhanced 4K HDR Video feature. In addition to that, the Reno 14 series of smartphones is also claimed to be the first Android smartphones capable of sharing Livephotos to Instagram.

Battery-wise, the Oppo Reno 14 5G and Reno 14 Pro 5G come with a 6,000mAh and 6,200mAh battery, respectively. Both phones can be charged at 80W using Oppo’s SuperVooc Flash Charge tech, which Oppo claims can bring the phone from 1 to 100% in just 47 minutes. The Pro is also able to handle 50W wireless charging.

As for connectivity, the Oppo Reno 14 5G and Reno 14 Pro 5G come with WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and even an IR blaster to turn your into a remote control for your TVs, aircon, and whatnot. These phones run on Oppo’s ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15, and are promised to receive up to 5 times ColorOS upgrades, and 6 years of security patch updates.

Oppo Reno F 5G Malaysia: Specs and features

Now, the most affordable model in the Reno 14 series, the Oppo Reno 14 F 5G. By saving a couple of hundred Ringgits, what do you lose out on as compared to its higher-spec siblings?

First off, you get a slightly smaller 6.57″ AMOLED display with a slightly lower resolution of 2372×1080 pixels. Of course, this panel is still no slouch, and is the better option if you prioritise portability. You still get a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and in fact, a higher peak brightness of 1,400 nits under High Brightness Mode. Under the hood of the Oppo Reno 14 F 5G is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Imaging-wise, the main difference between the Reno 14 F 5G and its siblings is the lack of a telephoto camera. With that said, you still get a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor. Videos can be shot at up to 4K at 30fps. Instead of a 50MP front camera, you get a 32MP f/2.0 front shooter instead that’s capable of recording videos at up to 1080p at 30fps.

Battery capacity on the Reno 14 F 5G is similar to the non-Pro Reno 14 5G, which means it gets a 6,00mAh cell. But wired charging is rated at 45W using Oppo’s 45W SuperVooc Flash Charge tech. Connectivity-wise, you also make a bit of a sacrifice with WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1, but NFC is still thrown in.
