U Mobile has introduced its new U Family 128 offering, a new family plan which offers lots of data with free roaming data for only RM128. For one price, you can get a total of four mobile lines and the option to sign up for a 5G phone for free on contract.
1000GB with unlimited calls and free roaming for 4 lines for RM128
The U Family 128 with 4 lines is priced at RM128/month and it comes with unlimited local calls and 1,000GB of 5G/4G data shared across all lines. All family members will also get hotspot 5G data that’s shared from the same 1,000GB data bucket. If you get four lines, that is equivalent to RM32/month for each line.
To get started, you can sign up with a minimum of one mobile line (Principal) and enjoy the flexibility to add remaining lines at your convenience at any U Mobile stores nationwide.
Overall, this is a value-for-money offering as U Mobile postpaid users previously would have to sign up for U Postpaid 98 (RM98/month) and then sign up for each individual U Family Share Line at RM38/month. Essentially, you can now get a total of four mobile lines for less than the price of two lines previously.
On top of that, the family plan also comes with free 15GB global data roaming and free incoming calls in 63 countries. According to the FAQ, the free 15GB monthly roaming data is shared across all lines.
If you exhausted the free 15GB roaming data, you can purchase extra roaming data add-ons from the MyUMobile app. Users can add 2GB (1-day validity) for RM15 or 5GB (7-day validity) for RM35. However, take note that only the principal line user can purchase the roaming add-ons, but the data will be shared across all 4 lines.
If you do not purchase the extra add-ons, users will be automatically subscribed to the daily U Data Roam 10 or U Data Roam 36 passes.
Free 5G Phone for U Family 128
In addition, U Mobile is also offering free device bundles for U Family 128 on contract. Users can sign up for a device on U PayLater or U SaveMore, but you can only sign up for 1 device offer per family plan.
Among the free phones on offer include Oppo Reno 12 F 5G, Realme 13+ 5G, Vivo V40 Lite 5G, Honor 200 Smart 5G, Oppo A3 Pro 5G, Realme 12x 5G and Honor X9b 5G.
