The government will continue the existing rebate program for electric motorcycles. This was confirmed by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during today’s tabling of Budget 2025.
MARiiCas rebate program received additional funding

Officially called MARiiCas, the rebate program was originally announced during last year’s Budget 2024 announcement. The program was only open to the public a few months later in December.

Meant to increase the usage of electric motorcycles in Malaysia, MARiiCas provides a rebate of RM2,400 on selected electric motorcycles. To be eligible for the rebate, your annual income has to be less than RM120,000 which is equivalent to under RM10,000 per month.
The new funding is enough for over 4,000 electric motorcycles

Anwar did not announce anything new for the scheme during this year’s tabling. However, he did mention that RM10 million has been allocated to the program.
In general, the new funding is enough for around 4,166 electric motorcycles. At the moment, the rebates are applicable for 17 models from 9 companies according to MARiiCas’ official website.
One such electric motorcycle is the Blueshark R1 which we reviewed last year. Priced from RM7,190 before MARiiCas rebate, check out the full review below to learn more about it:
