Besides the new Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro smartphones, Google has also announced the Pixel Buds Pro 2. These are Google’s latest wireless active noise cancelling (ANC) earbuds and they are the first to come with Google Gemini. According to Google, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 is designed to be the most comfortable and secure-fitting earbuds.

The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are coming to Malaysia and they are officially priced at RM1,099. The wireless earbuds come in 4 colours – Porcelain, Hazel, Wintergreen and Poeny.
If you’re interested, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 will only be available from 22nd September 2024 onwards and you can purchase them from CelcomDigi, Maxis, Urban Republic, Senheng/SenQ, Shopee and Lazada.
Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 Specs and Features
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 is powered by a Google Tensor A1 chip which is engineered to provide improved ANC performance and audio processing while ensuring optimal battery life. Compared to its predecessor, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 boasts 2x noise cancellation as it can adapt to your environment for up to 3 million times per second.
The wireless earbuds feature 11mm sound drivers that claim to offer a powerful bass and there’s also a high-frequency chamber designed to deliver smooth treble. It also supports spatial audio with head-tracking. Each bud has three mics and it supports tap and swipe gestures from its capacitive touch sensor.
On a single charge, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 with ANC enabled boasts up to 8 hours of music playback or up to 30 hours in total with the charging case included. Without ANC, it can last up to 12 hours of listening time or up to 48 hours in total with the charging case.
The earbuds’ case supports USB-C charging as well as Qi wireless charging. According to Google, a quick 5-minute charge of the earbuds in the case can deliver up to 1.5 hours of listening time with ANC turned off.
In terms of connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio and Super wideband and it can be paired with any Bluetooth 4.0+ device including Android, iOS, tablets and computers. The earbuds come with IP54-rated dust and water resistance, while the case is rated for IPX4. The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 comes with four pairs of ear tip sizes with the medium size attached to the earbuds out of the box.
