The tagline used for the phone is “Fresh Eyes” with two blinking eyes as the main design. This is a big hint that the phone will have two main cameras, and the cameras will be installed horizontally instead of the usual vertical placement seen in phones like the Nothing Phone (2).

The official specs of the phone are considered midrange when compared to the Nothing Phone (2). According to the leak, the Phone (2a) should feature:

  • MediaTek Dimensity 7200
  • 8GB or 12GB of RAM
  • 128GB or 256GB of storage
  • 50MP + 50MP rear camera
  • 16MP selfie camera
  • Nothing OS2.5 based on Android 14

The Nothing team also released a video featuring Carl Pei talking about the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a):

The Nothing Phone (2a) is rumoured to have a launch price of about USD400 (about RM 1,892). As for when the phone will be available in Malaysia, there is no official news as of yet  – but as a reference, the Nothing Phone (2) was launched in Malaysia the same month as its global launch event.

Fans can head to the official event page during the launch day to follow along the proceedings.
