Realme is partnering with Rolex for the Realme 12 Pro series

According to a leak online, realme is set to work with internationally famous watch brand Rolex for its upcoming realme 12 Pro series, specifically on the 12 Pro+ model. The involvement of the watch brand will be in the design of a bespoke 12 Pro+ variant.

The brand’s founder and CEO, Sky Li said during a media preview event at CE 2024 that this year will be the year of rebranding for the brand and it is reflected by the new slogan ‘Make It real’ and the repositioning as ‘a tech brand that understands young users’.

The upcoming realme 12 Pro series will feature a periscope telephoto zoom camera, which is asked by the younger demographics according to the company. It will go beyond the typical 2x zoom previously used by the brand. According to the company, the camera will be using a proprietary formula, first introduced in the realme GT5 Pro launched in December 2023. The camera will also have the largest sensor for a periscope unit, the OV64B, measuring at 1/2-inch. According to realme, this sensor is bigger than the one used in the iPhone 15 Pro.

The biggest surprise however is the leak that realme is working together with famous watch brand Rolex to create special edition phone that is inspired by the brand. While on social media the brand did not specify the watch brand, a different leak shows  full promotional image with the phone and the watch together.

Even on realme’s official account, the teasers mention the special colour  – Submarine Blue. The name is a big hint on which brand is realme working with. The phone maker previously revealed its collaboration with Ollivier Saveo, a luxury watch designer.
