Smart #1 Key specs and features
The Smart #1 will be offered in three variants in Malaysia – Pro, Premium and Brabus. Both the Pro and Premium are single-motor variants which deliver 200kW (268hp) of power and 343Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Brabus gets dual motors which provide a punchier 315kW (422hp) of power and 543Nm of torque. The Pro and Premium can get from 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds while the Brabus does it even quicker in just 3.9 seconds.
Both the Premium and Brabus get a 66kWh battery which comes with a WLTP-rated range of 440km and 400km respectively. The cheaper base-model Pro gets a smaller 49kWh battery which has a shorter WLTP-rated range of 315km.
Being a compact crossover SUV, the boot space isn’t that huge with just 323 litres at the back. You can expand the boot space to 411 litres when you slide the rear seats forward or up to 986 litres with the rear seats folded down. Upfront, it still gets a frunk which is quite tiny at 15 litres.
In terms of charging, the Premium and Brabus variants support 22kW AC charging and up to 150kW DC fast charging which lets you charge from 10-80% in 29 minutes. However, the base Pro model supports a slower 7kW AC charging which takes 6 hours to charge its smaller battery but it still offers DC fast charging up to 150kW. Another convenient feature is Vehicle-to-load, which lets you power up home appliances with the Smart #1.
The Premium and Brabus models get all the bells and whistles including a 13-speaker Beats Audio system, matrix LED headlamps with adaptive high beam, illuminated front grille and door handle, luminous side logo, welcome light, kick sensor power tailgate and extended 64-colour ambient lighting. It also offers all the advanced driver assist systems which also include fully autonomous parking, parking emergency brake and autonomous parking assist.
