MYAirline has suspended its operations effective today due to financial difficulties. If you have an upcoming MYAirline flight, you are advised not to go to the airport today and to seek for alternative flight arrangements.

Following the announcement, all MYAirline flights for both domestic and international destinations have been cancelled. During our check this morning at KLIA2, there were no MYAirline staff present while both sales and support counters were not open.

Affected passengers at the terminal were told by airport authorities to contact MYAirline or MAVCOM.

In an official statement released by MYAirline this morning, it said “the airline has come to this extremely painful decision because of significant financial pressures that have made it necessary to suspend operations pending the shareholder restructuring and recapitalization of the airline”.

The board said “We deeply regret and apologize for having to make this decision as we understand the impact it will have on our loyal passengers, dedicated employees and partners. We have worked tirelessly to explore various partnership and capital-raising options to prevent this suspension. Unfortunately, the constraints of time have left us with no alternative but to take this decision.”

During this difficult time, they are urging affected passengers to contact them by email at [email protected]. They are also advising affected passengers not to head to the airport and to seek alternative travel arrangements to their destination. Sales of new flight tickets have also been suspended as well.

It added that MYAirline along with its Board and shareholders are working tirelessly to resume operations as quickly as possible but they are unable to commit to any timeline. They apologise for any difficulty and inconvenience arising from the abrupt suspension.
