GoCar Malaysia has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) lineup for its GoCar Subs subscription service. If you’re curious about what it’s like to own an EV, you can subscribe to one for as little as RM120 per day on a monthly plan or RM171 per day for the weekly plan option.

According to GoCar, they have expanded its range of EVs and shorter-term subscription plans to make it easier and more affordable for Malaysian consumers to experience life with different EVs in line with its efforts to increase the accessibility and availability of EVs to the general public. GoCar Subs’ electric fleet now has seven fully electric models which include the Nissan Leaf, the new Renault Zoe, Hyundai Kona Electric, Hyundai Ioniq 5 e-Plus, Ora Good Cat 400 Pro, Electric Mini and the Tesla Model Y

The cheapest option is the Nissan Leaf which costs RM1,200 for 7 days inclusive of RM1,080 for subscription and RM120 for the mandatory Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). If you plan to subscribe for a month, the 30-day option costs RM3,600 inclusive of the subscription fee and CDW.

GoCar Subs’ most premium option is the Tesla Model Y which is going for RM5,000 for 7 days and RM15,000 for 30 days, inclusive of CDW. The Tesla Model Y on offer is the Long Range model which boats 533km of WLTP range from its 78.1kWh battery. Take note that the monthly subscription comes with a bundled mileage of 2,500km. If you’re planning to clock more kilometres, you can add RM800/month for unlimited mileage.

To learn more, you can visit GoCar Subs’ EV listing. If you’re new to EVs, be sure to download these apps that can help you find and activate public EV chargers.
