Honor Malaysia is doing a Back to School sale and offering a hefty discount for its 16″ laptop, the MagicBook 16. For a limited time, the Honor MagicBook 16 which was launched at RM4,299 can be yours for only RM2,999. On top of that, there’s also a combo deal where you can save more when you buy it together with the Honor 70 5G.
The Honor MagicBook 16 is now going for RM2,999 and Honor is bundling an Honor backpack and a Bluetooth Mouse for free on their online store. However, you can get it at an even lower price of RM2,949 through the official store on Shopee.
The MagicBook 16 was launched in Malaysia in March last year and it comes with a 16.1″ 144Hz Full HD IPS display with 100% sRGB colour gamut and a brightness of up to 300nits. It runs on a 7nm based AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor with 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM and 512GB of SSD storage.
Despite a large display, the MagicBook 16 keyboard doesn’t have an additional numeric pad on the right. Instead, the laptop has speaker grills on both ends of the keyboard. If you need a numeric keypad, you might want to consider the 12th gen Intel Core-powered MagicBook X 16 which is currently offered for RM3,499.
The laptop supports 802.11ax WiFi 6 with 2×2 MIMO dual antennas and it offers 2x USB-C 3.2 ports, 2x USB-A 3.2, an HDMI 2.0 port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Also included is a power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor.
The 56Wh rated battery claims to push up to 8 hours of video playback and web browsing on a single charge. The provided 65W USB-C charger claims to push 85% charge in one hour, while a full charge takes 1.5 hours. The MagicBook 16 weighs 1.84kg and has a thickness of 18.2mm at the thinnest point excluding the rubber feet.
If you’re looking for a new phone, Honor Malaysia is offering the Honor 70 + Honor MagicBook 16 combo for RM4,698. This provides an extra savings of RM100 as the Honor 70 (8GB RAM + 256GB) is currently going for RM1,799.
For those who are considering cheaper options, the MagicBook 14 with AMD Ryzen 5 5500U and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage is going for RM1,899 while the MagicBook X 14 with Intel Core i3-1115G4 and 8GB RAM + 512GB storage is going for RM2,269.
