[ UPDATE 21/06/2023 15:30 ] Youths can redeem RM200 eBeliaRahmah eWallet credit on 26 June via 3 eWallets.

===

During the tabling of the amended Budget 2023 by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the RM200 ePemula eWallet programme announced last year will still be retained under the latest budget revision. A total of 2 million youths are expected to benefit from this eWallet programme.

Previously called ePemula, the new eWallet programme is now called eTunai Belia Rahmah following the change of government. Each eligible youth aged between 18 to 20 years old will receive a one-off RM200 credit through participating eWallet providers. The programme will cost the government RM400 million under Budget 2023. Another difference is that the previous ePemula eWallet initiative for youths had also included full-time students aged 21 years old and above, but that’s no longer the case for the eTunai Belia Rahmah.

As usual, the full details including supported eWallets, eligibility and redemption period will be announced closer to the disbursement date.

ePemula M40 announced in October 2022

However, it appears that the ePemula eWallet programme for B40 groups (individuals with an annual income of less than RM100,000) has been dropped as it was not mentioned during the latest tabling of the budget. When the initial Budget 2023 was tabled by former Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz, a total of RM8 million was allocated to provide RM100 eWallet credit for 8 million eligible M40 recipients.
