Samsung says if you work in finance you should be using a Galaxy Z Fold 4

Samsung has revealed that there’s been a total of 16 million units of foldable smartphones shipped this year, an overall year-on-year increase of 73% with the figure set to grow to 26 million by next year. But it’s the business scene where Samsung’s foldables have seen the greatest growth, with the number of enterprise users having a Samsung foldable smartphone this year more than double of last year.

According to the Korean giant, the financial services industry have been particularly attracted to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 thanks to its large display that can be folded down to a pocket friendly size. The larger inner display works great for multitasking and productivity work, while their Flex Mode also makes it easy to conduct hands free video conferencing. This is coming from Samsung though so of course they would say that, but there is some semblance of truth here.

On top of that, Samsung claims that because of the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s larger screen real estate and their work with industry partners, the foldable can help financial professionals a competitive edge. They cite the Bloomberg Professional app, a tool commonly used by traders, analysts and portfolio managers, and how it’s able to give financial professionals more access to market data and news while maintaining the user experience on both the main display and the cover screen.

There also highlight other apps that financial professionals will use best on the Galaxy Z Fold 4, such as DocuSign that provides an e-signature solution. It’s been optimised for Android 12L, making it easier for Galaxy Z Fold 4 users to drag and drop their documents into DocuSign to get it signed. Samsung claims that they’ve worked with IBM too to address the challenges financial professionals face when working from beyond their desk. Other features like Samsung DeX mode and S Pen support are also added advantages that professionals might want in their smartphone.

It’s hard to say whether financial professionals do actually benefit more from using a Galaxy Z Fold 4 compared to a regular smartphone as neither my job title nor my bank account says that I am one. However, Samsung has laid out its case as to why financial professionals or indeed anyone within the corporate business world should be using the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
