After the tabling of Budget 2023 last Friday, many were anticipating Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob to dissolve parliament soon, to make way for fresh elections. The Prime Minister has tweeted that a special announcement will be made later today (10th October) at 3pm.

You can watch the special announcement live at 3pm on various platforms including RTM, Bernama, Astro Awani, TV3, TVAlhijrah, TVS and via Facebook Live.

It was reported by Free Malaysia Today that the Prime Minister is expected to make an important announcement today after having a special audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong yesterday. If the Parliament is dissolved today, it is expected that elections could be held around the first week of November.

With GE15 just around the corner, you can check your voter registration online. In case you didn’t know, all Malaysian adults aged 18 years old and above are automatically registered as eligible voters after the passing of the Undi 18 bill.
