Welcome back to another episode of Ask Us Anything, where we gather your questions from the internet and answer them.
In today’s episode, we answer what is the cheapest wireless earbuds with multipoint Bluetooth pairing, any recommendation for a compact 100W GaN charger, and does Apple Wallet support rewards and loyalty cards in Malaysia?
So, Amin as well as other members of the RKMD group recommend the UGREEN 100W USB GaN Charger. There are two variants to choose from.
The cheapest variant comes with two USB C ports which are both capable of a 100W output when a single device is connected. If you need more flexibility, you can opt for the 4-port option which adds on another USB C port and a USB A port, both of which output 22.5W. As for dimensions, it measures 4.9cm in width and 6.9cm in height, so it’s pretty compact for what it can output.
The 2-port variant of the UGREEN 100W USB GaN Charger is selling for RM168.90 while the 4-port will cost you RM218.90.
Apple Wallet in general does support membership cards, but you will need to check in the rewards app of your choice if it supports Apple Wallet.
You can normally find the option on the membership page of the app. If it does, just tap on ADD, follow the instructions, and it should become available on Apple Wallet. Alternatively, if you receive your digital membership card via email, you might get a link to allow you to add the card to your Apple Wallet.
Alex managed to add his Ikea membership card through a link sent by email and his Emirates loyalty card from its respective app, so we know those work.
You can also add boarding passes, tickets, and even your Covid vaccination certificate. All you need to do is scan the QR code on your digital certificate with the camera app and you will see a prompt to add it to the Health app and Apple Wallet.
As for Touch n’ Go cards, you just can’t add them to Apple Wallet today.
Multipoint Bluetooth pairing allows wireless earbuds to connect to two devices simultaneously and automatically switch to the device that’s playing. These Technics wireless earphones are one example of Multipoint Bluetooth pairing capable earphones and you will need to enable the feature in the companion app.
However, these Technics AZ60E cost slightly over RM1,000.
So, for the cheapest wireless earbuds with Multipoint Bluetooth pairing, I found this Anker Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro for RM669. It features active noise cancellation (ANC) to reduce your environmental noise while wearing them. There’s also support for Sony’s LDAC audio codec to help preserve audio quality.
You can also wear these buds while working out as they are rated for IPX4 water resistance. Battery life is rated up to 8 hours for the earbuds with the case providing up to 24 hours of extra charge. You can also get 3 hours of music playback after 15 minutes of charge should you require a quick music fix.
During the 9.9 sales, the Anker Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro will be discounted to RM559 on Shopee.
I would like to announce that we are looking for people to join the SoyaCincau family. There’s an opening for Videographer, editor and graphic designer, social media manager, and BM Tech writer. If any of these positions caught your attention, you can find more information here.
