ChargeSini: You can make RM300k a year by adding EV chargers to your parking lot

A new electric vehicle charging provider has entered the Malaysian market in the form of ChargeSini, joining a burgeoning list of competitors that include ChargEV, JomCharge and even Shell. The company is currently soliciting businesses and residences to install charging stations and broaden its network.

From the looks of the website, ChargeSini is positioning itself as a pay-as-you-go service, claiming that its app will allow you to locate a charger, charge your EV and then pay for your usage. It should be noted that the app itself isn’t available on either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store at the time of writing.

ChargeSini is touting a sizeable side income, saying that its charging stations will help businesses earn between RM64,000 and RM300,000 a year. All this without any expenses incurred, it adds, and the company is promising ”100% automation” for its service.

As for residences such as apartments, ChargeSini is offering to install chargers for both individual residents and mixed-use parking lots, claiming that they will increase the value of the property.

To provide the required charging stations, ChargeSini is partnering with local provider Sangitech. There are three AC chargers currently being offered – the Nexus, Nexus Pro and Nexus Biz wallboxes with outputs of between 7 and 22kW. The company is also giving the option of DC fast chargers with outputs of 40kW (Stellar 40), 80kW (Hyper80) and 140kW (Hyper140).

ChargeSini says all chargers have been tested by TÜV and carry MyHijau green energy certification. They are also IP65-certified and come with a three-year warranty (confusingly, it stated it is only providing a two-year warranty on Facebook).

As of now, ChargeSini has just one charger listed on PlugShare – a Nexus 22kW AC unit located at a Raytech tint shop in Kajang – even though the website is claiming 2,400 public charging points. You can contact the company via WhatsApp.
