The OnePlus 10 Pro was recently launched in Malaysia back in April and the “Never Settle” brand is about to introduce a new flagship smartphone that’s called the OnePlus 10T. The upcoming device will be unveiled in New York City on 3rd August and this is their first physical launch event since the OnePlus 7T back in 2019.

Looking at the teaser image, the OnePlus 10T appears to retain a sandstone-finish back which is a unique texture introduced on the very first OnePlus One phone. What’s confirmed is that the new phone will be running on Qualcomm’s current top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 platform that boasts more power while offering better power efficiency.

On top of that, the brand will also introduce its new OxygenOS 13 operating system which promises to offer a refreshing design and enhanced safety. OnePlus says the new OS version will retain features that fan love including their selection of Always-On displays and Zen Mode, while introducing new optimisations and improvements. OnePlus says the OnePlus 10 Pro will be the first phone to get OxygenOS 13 before it is rolled out to the OnePlus 10T later this year.

The OnePlus 10T’s event page also teases faster charging speeds and what appears to be smarter charging feature with AI. It has been rumoured that the OnePlus 10T will come with a 4,800mAh battery and it will support 150W fast charging. Unlike most mainstream brands, OnePlus is expected to ship the new phone with a 160W charger.

Similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro, we reckon that the new flagship smartphone will feature an OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, while the rear gets a camera setup that’s co-developed with Hasselblad. In case you missed it, the OnePlus 10 Pro with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is officially priced at RM4,199 in Malaysia. That’s significantly more affordable than its related Oppo Find X5 Pro and Vivo X80 Pro 5G, which are both priced at RM4,999.

The last flagship “T” device from OnePlus is the OnePlus 8T which seems to go head on with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. The OnePlus 8T with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage was launched with a price tag of RM2,699 while the higher 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option was priced at RM2,999.

To watch the OnePlus 10T event live, you can catch the live stream on YouTube at 10pm Malaysian time on 3rd August.
