Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has announced a price reduction for Skypark Link. This is a KTM train service that connects KL Sentral to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (SkyPark Terminal) in Subang. Starting from today (9th June 2022) a one-way ticket costs RM3.50, which is 65% off the normal rate of RM10.00.

The SkyPark Link service was first introduced in May 2018 as an airport rail link service to Subang Airport. It runs on the KTM Komuter Port Klang Line from KL Sentral and it continues on to a dedicated track from Subang Jaya station to Subang Airport. After it was suspended during the pandemic, the SkyPark Link service was resumed in October 2021 with an initial 21 daily services and it was later increased to 25 daily services in May.

In conjunction with today’s announcement, SkyPark Link has increased its frequency to 32 daily services with an interval of 30 to 60 minutes.

According to the schedule, the first service from KL Sentral to SkyPark Terminal starts at 5:55am and the last train is at 7.25pm. Meanwhile, the first train from SkyPark Terminal to KL Sentral is scheduled at 6:45am and the last train is at 10.45pm. A one-way 26km trip takes 37 minutes including the stop at Subang Jaya.

The RM3.50 fare is only applicable for cashless payments and it will cost RM4 for cash transactions. You can also catch the SkyPark Link train directly at Subang Jaya and it costs RM2.00 for cashless payments.

Before the pandemic, the service recorded as high as 266 passengers per day between January to March 2020. KTMB aims to increase the ridership to 3,000 passengers daily by 2023. Skypark Link is expected to benefit not just travellers, but also students, private workers, and other commuters that travel between KL Sentral and Subang daily.
