The Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be announced within the next few months and we’ve already seen clear leaks of the actual devices including the S22 Ultra. If you’re wondering what colours are available, 91Mobile has posted a batch of renders for both the Galaxy S22 and the S22 Ultra.

For the standard Samsung Galaxy S22, the device will come in a total of 4 colours. Besides the usual Phantom Black and Phantom White, the S22 is also offered in Pink Gold and Green. In terms of design, it looks identical to the current Galaxy S21 where the rear cameras are aligned vertically on the top left corner.

The buttons remain unchanged with the volume rocker and power buttons placed on the right side of the device.

In the past few flagship phone releases, the more expensive Plus and Ultra variants come with a premium glass back but Samsung settles for “Glasstic” aka plastic back for the smaller Galaxy S21 and Note 20 models. For the upcoming Galaxy S22, Samsung is expected to use glass across the range including the Galaxy S22.

There is a definite answer about the rear cover material of Galaxy S22 series:
S22, S22 +, S22 ultra are all made of glass!

Meanwhile, the top of the line Galaxy S22 Ultra looks different from its smaller S22 siblings as it features a “Galaxy Note” like design. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as the new S22 Ultra is seen as the true Galaxy Note successor featuring an S Pen and a dedicated silo to store the stylus.

According to 91Mobiles, the S22 Ultra will come in 4 colours namely Burgundy, Green, Phantom Black and Phantom White. As shown in the renders above, the stylus features a dual-tone appearance with a black body and a colour matching top. The Galaxy S22 Ultra also comes with a quad-camera setup and there’s no camera bumps for a cleaner look.

In terms of specs, the new Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and a large 5,000mAh battery. It isn’t clear if Malaysia will be getting the Qualcomm or Exynos processor variant. The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is expected to be announced officially sometime in February and you can expect Malaysia to be among the first countries to get it.
