Announced globally by Xiaomi a few months ago, the Mi Smart Air Fryer 3.5L is currently available in Malaysia for less than RM300. This is a smart air fryer that can be connected to your smartphone and managed remotely via the Mi Home app.
According to the Xiaomi Mall store on Lazada, the Xiaomi air fryer is priced at RM399 but it can be yours for only RM256 during the 11.11 sale. The product is listed with a 6-months international warranty.
If you search around, there are cheaper listings and we saw Shopee Mall seller “WhyPaymoreOnline” offering the Mi Air Fryer for RM239. Take note that the Air Fryer comes in either China or Global versions, and the global unit is priced higher.
If you prefer the global version which is expected to come with an English interface and instructions, TradeShopee from Shopee Mall is currently selling the unit for RM298. The air fryer is covered by a supplier warranty and take note that it uses an EU 2-pin wall plug.
The Mi Smart Air Fryer 3.5L is rated with a 1500W heating power and has a dual-speed motor that adjusts automatically according to the selected temperature. You can set up a cooking schedule, up to 24 hours in advance and set the desired temperature from 40 degrees to 200 degrees Celsius. Besides frying, it is also capable of making yoghurt as well as dehydrated fruits. It features an OLED touch screen which allows you to manually set cooking time and desired temperature.
The 3.5L basket is rated to fit up to 8 egg tarts (4 per rack), 2 tweaks (1 per rack), 12 dried lemons (6 per rack) and 12 chicken wings (6 per rack) using the grill accessory. The removable basket is dishwasher-friendly and is built with a dual-player PTFE non-stick coating.
Since this is a “Smart” air fryer, you can turn on or off the Air Fryer remotely from your smartphone and customise cooking programmes. It connects via Bluetooth and WiFi and it also supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
