The Galaxy Buds 2 could be Samsung’s most affordable ANC wireless earbuds ever

Samsung hasn’t exactly been able to keep too many secrets of their upcoming products ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 11. One of those products is widely expected to be the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2, which we know quite a bit of by now except the price. However, it seems as though European pricing info about it has emerged.

This new leak comes from Roland Quandt of WinFuture, a German site. According to Quandt, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will be priced at EUR 149.99 (~RM751.13). This puts it back on par with the launch price of the original Galaxy Buds from 2019, which launched at EUR 149 too.

Last year’s Galaxy Buds+ meanwhile retailed at a much higher EUR 170, while the Galaxy Buds Pro had a launch price of EUR 230. It should be noted though that Malaysian pricing tends to be much cheaper than our European counterparts; the Galaxy Buds Pro for instance retailed at RM799. The original Galaxy Buds meanwhile launched in Malaysia for RM499, which could be close to what the Galaxy Buds 2 will be going for locally. This could be the most affordable Samsung wireless earbuds with ANC, beating the Galaxy Buds Live which was launched for RM699.

As a quick recap, the Galaxy Buds 2 are expected to feature active noise cancellation (ANC), with the added ability to use it with just one earbud too. The accompanying app gets a minor revamp too, which also hinted at a new yellow colourway for the Samsung wireless earbuds. Battery-wise, there should be 61 mAh per earbud, while the case itself will have an extra 472 mAh to charge up the earbuds.

If you’re awaiting the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2, you won’t have to wait much longer now. The Galaxy Unpacked event will be happening on the 11th of August, at 10pm Malaysian timing where they will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. If you register your interest, Samsung Malaysia is also offering RM300 eVoucher which you can use to selected accessories when you pre-order the upcoming Galaxy devices.

To catch the livestream, you can watch it on the Samsung website when it happens.
