As Samsung gets ready to unpack its next flagship, consumers are asking what’s next?

Samsung has confirmed that it will be holding its trademark Galaxy Unpacked event next month on August 11. In the meantime, rumours suggest that the Korean giant will be unveiling what many are expecting to be its interpretation of a future ready device. After all, when it comes to breaking new grounds in smartphone technology, Samsung is pretty much at the leading edge, so much so that the brand pretty much invented a new market segment.

A segment that Samsung first experimented with in September 2019 with a radical departure from what a smartphone should be and it immediately captured the world’s attention. It also brought to life what many thought was impossible.

Consumer expectations are high, can Samsung deliver?

Technology progresses and technology change. With each successful iteration of Samsung’s version of the smartphone future, consumer expectations become higher and higher. As the novelty of new wears off, the question inevitably comes to this…what’s next Samsung?

The future is flexibility.

Many are expecting Samsung to build on the many cutting edge technology it has successfully turned into market standard and to deliver even more flexibility through innovation. While it remains to be seen if the rumours are true, what is certain is fans and curious onlookers alike are expecting Samsung’s next big thing to be the best it has ever produced.

So, what can you expect at Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event?

The latest and greatest.

You can expect Samsung to pack the latest and greatest hardware into their newest devices. Expect the new devices to pack the fastest processor and the fastest RAM available, on top of 5G and the latest iteration of WiFi connectivity standards to offer the best performance and battery life no matter what the situation.

Bigger displays for more things.

With better performance and battery life, expect the new devices to be a multi-mode powerhouse that is just as capable blazing through office documents as it is running graphics heavy games and movies.

This means bigger, better displays all-round. Expect faster refresh rates and better image quality and nothing less.

Weatherproof capabilities.

One of the biggest wants among users is weatherproof capabilities. While making a device that is flexible and weatherproof at the same time can be challenging to some manufacturers, Samsung has advanced the technology to a point where it is just a matter of time before they make it available for you to purchase. That time is soon.

S Pen support.

Versatility is one of the biggest strong suits in Samsung’s smartphones. Samsung’s multi-mode capabilities and the S Pen make for a formidable combination that’s unmatched by any other. You can expect Samsung to enhance this versatility with its long-standing fan favourite, the S Pen. With one of the biggest displays you can get on a smartphone, it is just a natural progression for Samsung to make S Pen support a seamless experience across its most advanced devices. We are certainly expecting nothing less in the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event.
