Maxis deploys mobile base stations to boost coverage at vaccination centres

Maxis says they are committed to ensuring its services remain accessible to all customers and to provide the best, uninterrupted connectivity during the current movement control order. The green telco has also conducted several initiatives to support the national COVID-19 immunisation program.

Maxis together with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will create awareness of the vaccination program at Pusat Internet Komuniti (PIK) nationwide. Not only they will help the local community to get more information on the programme but they will also assist with registrations via MySejahtera. On top of that, the telco will also issue PSA reminders through social media and SMS.

To ensure stable connection at vaccination distribution centres, Maxis has also deployed Mobile Coverage Vehicles at IDCC in Shah Alam. Additional mobile stations will also be deployed at Hospital USCI Bandar Springhill in Lukut soon. The telco is also upgrading its network capacity at Setia City Convention Centre and UiTM Puncak Alam.

During the total lockdown period, all Maxis stores nationwide will continue to operate as usual with strict SOP. Alternatively, customers can get information and assistance through the Maxis, Hotlink, and Hotlink Postpaid apps, or call their hotline number.

To ensure their mobile and fixed networks remain uninterrupted during the full movement control order, Maxis will continue to conduct installations and service recovery works at all areas except for zones that are placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) or Targetted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO). It added that engineers are strategically located nationwide and are ready to address any network issues that may arise. To support higher data demand for work and study, Maxis has also upgraded its capacity as part of its network expansion program.
