Having issues with your vaccine appointment? You can now get help via MySejahtera

As Malaysia’s national COVID-19 immunisation programme is picking up steam with over 100,000 doses per day, there have been a number of complaints when it comes to the appointment system. Some were given appointments in different states and there are others who have gotten AstraZeneca appointments even if they didn’t sign up for it. Some have also successfully booked their AstraZeneca vaccines but until today have not received any confirmation.

To solve vaccine appointment issues quicker, the special committee on ensuring access to COVID-19 vaccines (JKJAV) has announced that the MySejahtera’s Helpdesk is now ready to provide assistance for vaccination appointments. If you can’t get through the 1-800-888-828 hotline, this would be an easier option to change or cancel your appointment or to report an issue about your vaccine appointment.

To get help for your appointment, go to the MySejahtera home screen and tap on “Helpdesk” on the top panel. This will load the MySejahtera helpdesk website and you can click on “Start”.

You should see “Vaccination Appointment” as the first option, and you can tap on it to proceed. From there, you are given three options:

  1. Have not received a date despite seeing a Thank You page after booking a slot for AstraZeneca Round 2.
  2. Cancel AstraZeneca appointment.
  3. Already got an appointment under the mainstream national immunisation program but you wish to cancel or make changes.

After submitting a report, you should receive an acknowledgement email from MySejahtera support.

In most options, you are required to enter your MySejahtera ID (which is usually your registered phone number) along with your IC or passport number. You can check your MySejahtera ID by going to the Profile tab from the home screen as shown below:

A few days ago, MySejahtera has been updated with a new option for mothers to declare if they are pregnant or breastfeeding. This is to ensure that pregnant and lactating mothers will be given a suitable vaccine.

To get an appointment at a vaccination centre near you, all MySejahtera users are urged to update their address to ensure that the postcode and state is correct. According to Khairy Jamaluddin, the wrong appointment location issue was due to users picking the wrong address suggested by Google Maps API. If you haven’t received your appointment yet, you can update your current address on the vaccination page.
