Axiata confirms “advanced discussions” with Telenor on Celcom-Digi merger

Axiata has announced that Celcom and Digi will be merged very soon and they are currently in an advanced discussion stage. The new merged entity will be called Celcom Digi Berhad. The company will be led by Celcom’s current CEO Idham Nawawi and Digi’s current CEO Albern Murty will take the Deputy CEO role. Details here.
