COVID-19: 1,199 new cases today, Selangor and Sarawak record less than 300 cases

Malaysia has recorded 1,199 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 340,642. There are 2 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,251.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1,257 new recoveries and a total of XX patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 95.46% while the mortality rate is at 0.37%.



There are currently 14,209 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 167 are in ICU while 72 require respiratory support.

Out of the 1,199 new cases today, 5 are imported while 1,194 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 283 new cases, followed by Sarawak with 267 cases, Kelantan with 138 cases and Pulau Pinang with 125 cases.
