COVID-19: 1,360 new cases today, Selangor and Sarawak both record over 300 cases

Malaysia has recorded 1,360 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 338,168. There are 2 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,248.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1,491 new recoveries and a total of 322,416 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 95.34% while the mortality rate is at 0.37.

There are currently 14,504 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 157 are in ICU while 72 require respiratory support.

Out of the 1,360 new cases today, 1 is imported while 1,359 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 356 cases, followed by Sarawak with 308 cases, Johor with 129 cases and Pulau Pinang with 113 cases.
