Apple Watch gives you “Time To Walk” with celebrities, but only if you’re a Fitness+ subscriber

Apple has unveiled a new audio walking experience for the Apple Fitness+ subscription service for the Apple Watch Series 3 or newer. “Time To Walk” encourages users to walk and enjoy stories, photos and music by celebrities.

The series includes several episodes—with each episode featuring a celebrity guest sharing personal moments and lessons learned, recorded while walking outside or in locations that are meaningful to them. The episodes can be enjoyed at anytime with Apple Watch and Bluetooth headphones like AirPods.

“Walking is the most popular physical activity in the world, and one of the healthiest things we can do for our bodies. A walk can often be more than just exercise: It can help clear the mind, solve a problem, or welcome a new perspective,” said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s senior director of Fitness Technologies.

“Time To Walk” launches with four episodes that feature Grammy winning musician Dolly Parton, NBA player Draymond Green, pop musician Shawn Mendes, and Emmy Award winner Uzo Aduba. New episodes will appear with a different guest each Monday through the end of April.

Each episode ranges from 25 to 40 minutes, and users can browse episodes in the Fitness+ tab in the Fitness app on iPhone. For Apple Watch customers who use a wheelchair, “Time to Walk” even becomes Time to Push—which automatically starts an Outdoor Wheelchair Walk Pace workout.

Currently, Apple Fitness+ is not available in Malaysia. It is only available for users in the US, Canada, UK Australia, Ireland and New Zealand. The service features workouts in 10 different categories including High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), strength, yoga, dance, core, cycling, treadmill (for both running and walking) and rowing.
